„Wunderschöne Hotelanlage mit fantastischen Pools
Die Hotelanlage ist wirklich wunderschön, mit sehr viel Grün und vielen süßen Tieren. Die Zimmer sind riesig. Das Personal ist immer extrem freundlich und leistet unsfassbar viel. Alles (wirklich alles!) wird täglich gereinigt und auf jede Frage wird mit einem Lächeln geantwortet. Das Essen in den Á-la-cart-Restaurants ist lecker und wird schön angerichtet. Das Entertainment-Team ist super, sie sind immer gut drauf und es gab wirklich immer irgendwelche Aktivitäten, sodass man sich nicht langweilen konnte. Es gibt einen USB Anschluss im Zimmer, sodass wir keinen Adapter fürs Laden unserer Handys kaufen mussten. Die Pools wurden super geplant! Man kann praktisch durchs ganze Gelände schwimmen (mit 2-3x aus- und wieder einsteigen). Es gibt Partypools und auch wirklich ruhige Ecken.
Die Zimmer bzw. die Einrichtung ist tatsächlich schon in die Jahre gekommen, aber noch völlig in Ordnung. Die Toilette in unserem Zimmer wollte nicht immer kooperieren, was manchmal dazu geführt hat, dass wir den Tank manuell mit Wasser füllen mussten. Nicht der Urlaubstraum, den man sich im 5-Sterne-Hotel wünscht. Die Cocktails waren leider ekelhaft, immer voll mit Zuckersyrup, der aber nichts mit Zucker zu tun hat, sondern purer Süßstoff ist. Ohne Zuckersyrup waren sie okay. Es schadet nicht, wenn man sich im Vorhinein darauf einstellt, dass das Hotel voll mit Touristen aus Kanada und den USA ist, deren einziges Ziel es ist, den ganzen Tag zu trinken und zu feiern. Uns hat das nicht gestört (es gibt auch ruhige Ecken und Pools), aber es ist schon was, was man nicht tagtäglich so erlebt. Man kriegt nirgendwo einen gescheiten Cappuccino :(

Es ist ein großes Resort mit mehreren Pools, Buffets, Bars und Restaurants (all-inclusive) sowie einem Zugang zum Strand mit Strandbar.
Das WLAN war eine Katastrophe. Perfekt für Digital Detox, aber nicht schön, wenn man doch mal auf das Internet angewiesen ist.

„Schön, aber zu gross und unübersichtlich
Das Resort ist sehr gepflegt, die Zimmer entsprechen einem gehobenen Standard und das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und es gab ein sehr grosses Angebot wie auch beim Lunch und Dinner. Leider war die Qualität beim Mittag- und Abendessen nicht immer die allerbeste und das à la carte Steakhouse war einfach ein Witz Im gleichen Saal wie am Vor-/Nachmittag ein Buffet-Restaurant ist (dementsprechend die Atmosphäre) und die Auswahl und Qualität waren nicht vorhanden.
Die Lage etwa 15 Min. ausserhalb des Zentrums von Playa del Carmen macht es nötig, das man jeweils ein Taxi benötigt. Das Resort ist riesig, und das merkt man halt dann auch manchmal bei gewissen Sachen: (Fast) jeden Tag anderes Personal, weite Wege von den Zimmern zum Strand oder in die verschiedenen Lokalitäten, teilweise sehr lange Wartezeiten bei allem (vor allem Bars, Food Points und der Reception).
